Whether coming from Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, or anywhere else in the surrounding area, then you likely know how difficult parking in the city can be. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be difficult to find a spot for your cruise. In fact, the Port of Baltimore makes it pretty simple.
Where to Park for a Baltimore Cruise
For passengers, parking is right on-site at the Cruise Maryland Terminal, located at: 2001 East McComas Street, Baltimore, MD 21230.
As you can see from the map below, the lot surrounds the terminal and is just steps away. So you can park essentially right at the ship. This makes it extremely easy for those with mobility issues or other difficulties getting from a distant lot to the terminal.
Unfortunately, there aren’t a ton of options or competition for parking near the port. The good news is that Baltimore’s terminal parking is extremely convenient and not terribly expensive compared to other ports around the country. (Baltimore park & cruise hotels do offer more choices.)
What we like is that parking is relatively cheap — $15 a night for most cars. (Parking is payable upon arrival.) While the idea of shelling out $105 for a week-long cruise might not seem like a deal, considering that many other ports charge $20 or more, it’s a decent deal.
If you have an oversized vehicle like an RV, the rate jumps to $30 per day for those under 30 feet, or $40 per day for those longer than 30 feet. Note that the port has moved to a cashless system. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
Reservations are not needed. There are also accessible parking spaces for passengers with disabilities.
Port of Baltimore (Cruise Maryland Terminal) Parking:
- Distance: At port
- Price: $15 per night for most cars ($30/$40 for oversized vehicles)
- Methods of Payment: Credit/Debit (Visa, MC, Discover, AMEX)
- Reservations: Not needed, drive-up parking readily available
Alternative Parking Options (Hotels With Parking)
Given the port’s location within the city and the modest number of cruises that sail from Baltimore, there aren’t many parking alternatives around. If you do want to park somewhere for cheaper, however, look into hotel cruise parking.
If you are in the area and plan to stay a night anyway, then the cruise and park packages mean that you pay a little more for your room, but they let you keep your car at the hotel during the trip..
For instance, you might pay $150 a night for a regular room, but $180 for the parking package. So for an extra $30, you save a lot versus parking at the port.
The most hotels with parking offers are situated around BWI airport, which is roughly 15 minutes from the port. There are a couple of options near the downtown/Inner Harbor area.
