We used shared shuttles (Cortrans I believe), taxis (Yellow Cab), private companies (we love STAR TRANS-VIP) and cruise shuttles (both Disney and Royal Caribbean). We also rented a car several times.
Private transfers are much more expensive than other options, but it is my #1 choice. It is our vacation! We don’t want to drive or wait for anyone or share a bus with 53 other people.
Actually private transfer is not the most expensive option if you are traveling with a large group (6 people and up).
